Are my certificate files really safe?

Security, Privacy & Data Protection

Yes — your certificate files are securely stored and protected using enterprise-grade cloud encryption and access controls.

Where Your Files Are Stored

  • All PDF uploads are stored in Azure Blob Storage, a Microsoft-managed cloud platform used by banks, governments, and healthcare systems
  • 256-bit AES encryption-at-rest is enabled by default for every file — no exceptions
  • All data in transit is protected via HTTPS using TLS 1.2+ encryption

Who Can See Your Files?

  • Files are never public: Raw storage containers are private and cannot be browsed — not even by CertNudge staff
  • Time-limited access: When you click “View PDF,” the system generates a one-time signed URL that expires after a short window
  • Only your account: Can request and use this URL — no one else can access your file without it
  • Zero persistent file links: Files are not exposed via permanent URLs or embedded into the page

Compliance & Reliability

CertNudge's storage infrastructure is hosted entirely within Microsoft Azure’s UK-based data centres, which are:

  • ISO 27001, SOC 1/2/3, and GDPR compliant
  • Regularly audited for security best practices
  • Designed for durability and availability (≥ 99.9%)
Need to remove a file?

You can delete any uploaded certificate at any time from your dashboard — it is immediately removed from storage and no longer accessible via any link.
