What happens when I delete a certificate - do reminders stop?

Yes, deleting a certificate record immediately removes it from your dashboard and cancels all associated future reminders.
Immediate Effects of Deletion
Reminders Stop Instantly
When you delete a certificate record:
- Any pending email reminders (60, 30, 14, 7 days) for that specific certificate are immediately cancelled.
- The certificate record is removed from your dashboard lists and statistics (e.g., upcoming expirations, counts).
- You will no longer receive any alerts related to that deleted record.
What Happens to the Uploaded File?
File Deletion Process
Deleting the certificate record also initiates the deletion of any associated uploaded file (PDF/image):
- The file is marked for deletion and removed from active storage promptly.
- It will be permanently purged from all system backups according to our standard data retention schedule (typically within ~35 days).
This deletion is generally irreversible.
Accidental Deletion?

If you delete a certificate by mistake, contact support@certnudge.co.uk as soon as possible. While recovery becomes impossible once purged from backups, there might be a very short window where intervention is feasible. However, recovery cannot be guaranteed.
