Can I track something that isn’t on the built-in list?
Check the certificate types currently shown when adding a record in CertNudge. Select the closest appropriate type. If an "Other" option is available, you can use it for a document that does not match a named type.
The live selector is the final reference
Available certificate types can change as CertNudge is maintained. Use the options shown in the current Add Certificate workflow rather than relying on an older FAQ list.
If the "Other" type is available
Select "Other"
Choose the "Other" option from the certificate-type selector if it is available to your organisation.
Give the record a clear name
Enter a name that accurately identifies the document, such as a warranty, inspection report or service record.
Record the document dates
Enter the issue and expiry dates shown on the source document. Do not invent an expiry date or assume a standard cycle.
Add the supporting evidence
Upload the relevant supported file and review the property, name and dates before saving the record.
Will the record receive reminders?
An eligible record can be considered for email reminders using the expiry date entered in CertNudge. Reminder delivery is not guaranteed, so continue checking the record directly.
What if there is no suitable option?
Email CertNudge with the document name, what it records and the outcome you need.
Contact support@certnudge.co.uk . CertNudge will review the suggestion but cannot promise whether or when another certificate type will be added.
Check that the document belongs in CertNudge
CertNudge is intended for certificate evidence and related property compliance records. Do not upload tenancy agreements, identification documents or unnecessary tenant personal data.
CertNudge does not determine legal requirements
Recording a document does not confirm that it is legally required, valid or sufficient. Check the requirements applying to the property and obtain professional or legal advice where necessary.
