How long do the secure sharing links last?
CertNudge share links expire automatically. The expiry period depends on the type of resource being shared.
The application displays the actual expiry date and time for each link. Treat that displayed value as the final reference.
Current link-expiry periods
Certificate document
A link to an individual certificate document expires seven days after it is created.
Certificate brief
A certificate-brief link expires 14 days after it is created.
Compliance pack
Compliance-pack links use the configured pack-link lifetime. The tracked default is currently seven days, but check the expiry displayed when the link is created.
When might an existing link be reused?
CertNudge may reuse a recent active link when it still has at least 24 hours remaining.
Use the new-link option when you need a separate link rather than reusing the existing one.
What happens after a link expires?
An expired or revoked link can no longer be used and cannot be reactivated. Review the underlying evidence and create a new link if it needs to be shared again.
Share links carefully
Anyone who obtains an active link may be able to access the shared resource until it expires or is revoked. Send links only to the intended recipient.
