How can I download or delete all of my data?
You have full control over your data. You can instantly download basic account information, request a full export via email, and permanently delete your account at any time, in line with UK GDPR.
How to Download Your Data
There are two ways to access your data:
1. Instant Download: Basic Account Data
- Go to your Profile icon > Personal Data.
- Click the button labelled "Download My Data" (or similar).
- A JSON file containing your core account and personal details (name, email, etc.) will download immediately.
Note: This instant download does not include property details, certificate data, or uploaded documents.
2. Full Export Request: All Property, Certificate & File Data
To request a complete export including all properties, certificates, associated data, and uploaded documents:
- Please send an email to support@certnudge.co.uk from the email address registered to your CertNudge account.
- Clearly state that you are requesting a full data export (Subject Access Request).
- We will process your request and, as required by UK GDPR, provide a secure download link via email within 30 days (often much sooner). The link will contain a ZIP archive with your data in common formats (e.g., Excel/CSV/JSON for data, original format for files) and will be valid for 14 days.
Self-Service Reminder: You can export lists of properties and certificates directly from the app at any time using the available export buttons.
How to Delete Your Account & Data
You can permanently delete your CertNudge account and associated data. This action is irreversible.
Go to Personal Data
Navigate to Profile > Personal Data.
Initiate Deletion
Click the button labelled "Delete Data & Close Account".
Confirm Request
You will be asked to enter your password to securely confirm this irreversible action.
Important: Deletion is Permanent
Once confirmed:
- Your account and data are queued for deletion from live systems promptly.
- Data is fully purged from backups according to our retention schedule (typically within ~35 days).
- Certain non-personal data required for legal/financial reasons (e.g., invoice records) may be retained for longer as mandated by UK law.
Deleted account data cannot be recovered.
