How does CertNudge make sure I’m not spammed twice for the same date?
CertNudge uses queue and sent-record controls to reduce duplicate reminder emails.
These controls are designed to make repeated processing safe, but CertNudge cannot guarantee that a duplicate reminder will never occur.
How duplicate reminders are reduced
Unique queue key
CertNudge uses a unique queue key for each certificate and reminder milestone.
Sent-record checks
The reminder process checks existing send records before processing the same certificate and milestone again.
Controlled retries
Failed sends use controlled retry processing rather than creating a completely separate reminder.
Milestone-specific records
The controls distinguish between the 60-day, 30-day, 14-day and final reminder milestones.
Different milestones are not duplicates
Receiving a 60-day reminder and later receiving a 30-day reminder for the same certificate is expected. They are separate reminder milestones.
Duplicate prevention is not guaranteed
Queue and sent-record controls reduce the risk of repeated messages, but technical failures or unusual processing conditions may still result in a duplicate email.
What should I do if I receive a duplicate?
Before contacting support, check that the emails relate to the same:
- Property and certificate
- Reminder milestone
- Recorded expiry date
- Recipient email address
Report a repeated reminder
Email support@certnudge.co.uk with the organisation name, certificate details and the date and time of each message. Do not include tenant personal data unless necessary.
