How long does initial setup take?

Getting Started & On-Boarding

You can usually add your first property and certificate record in a few minutes.

The time needed to complete your wider setup depends on the size of your portfolio, how many records you want to add and whether your certificate information is ready.

Start with one property

You do not need to enter your entire portfolio at once. Adding one property and its current certificate records is a practical way to become familiar with CertNudge before continuing.

Basic setup process

1

Create your account

Register for a 14-day trial and select Landlord Pro or Portfolio Pro.

2

Add a property

Enter the property details needed to create its record in CertNudge.

3

Add a certificate record

Select the certificate type and enter the details and expiry date shown on the source document.

4

Upload supporting evidence

Attach the relevant certificate file if available, then review the saved property, date and document.

What affects the setup time?

Portfolio size

A landlord adding one property will normally finish sooner than someone entering a larger portfolio.

Record availability

Setup is easier when certificate documents, issue dates and expiry dates are already organised.

Import method

Portfolio Pro users can use the supported CSV or Excel import workflow for multiple property and certificate records.

What happens after records are added?

The dashboard and reminder service help you review the certificate records and upcoming dates held in CertNudge. The dashboard reflects the information entered by users; it is not an independent assessment of legal compliance.

Continue checking your records

You remain responsible for checking that property and certificate information is accurate and for arranging inspections, remedial work and renewals when required. Reminder emails are a supporting tool and successful delivery cannot be guaranteed.
