If I delete a certificate, is the PDF gone forever?
Deleting a certificate removes it from normal use in CertNudge.
The deletion workflow also cancels pending reminders and attempts to remove files linked to that certificate.
Download anything you need first
Before deleting a certificate, download any document or evidence that you may need to keep. Do not assume that a deleted file can be restored.
What happens when a certificate is deleted?
Removed from normal use
The certificate no longer appears as an active record available for normal certificate management.
Pending reminders are cancelled
Reminder messages still waiting to be processed for that certificate are cancelled.
Linked files are removed
The supported deletion workflow attempts to remove the certificate's linked files from storage.
Some history may be retained
Soft-deleted or audit records may remain where needed for operating the service or meeting lawful retention requirements.
What if I delete a property?
Deleting a property is not the same as immediately erasing every historical record associated with it.
Download any required certificate evidence and compliance packs before deleting the property.
Can CertNudge recover a deleted file?
Recovery cannot be promised. Contact support promptly if something was deleted accidentally, but keep your own appropriate copies of important evidence rather than relying on recovery.
Need help with a deletion?
Email support@certnudge.co.uk with your organisation name and details of the affected property or certificate. Do not email passwords or unnecessary tenant personal data.
