Is 2-factor authentication available?

Security, Privacy & Data Protection

Yes. CertNudge supports two-factor authentication using an authenticator app.

Two-factor authentication is optional, but enabling it adds another layer of protection to your account.

How does two-factor authentication work?

After entering your password, CertNudge may ask for a temporary verification code from your authenticator app.

This can help protect your account if someone obtains your password without also having access to your authenticator.

How to enable two-factor authentication

1

Open your account security settings

Sign in to CertNudge and open the available two-factor authentication settings for your account.

2

Add an authenticator app

Select the option to add an authenticator app and follow the instructions shown.

3

Scan the QR code

Use a compatible authenticator app to scan the QR code displayed by CertNudge.

4

Enter the verification code

Enter the temporary code generated by the authenticator app to confirm setup.

5

Save your recovery codes

Store the recovery codes provided during setup somewhere secure and separate from your normal login details.

Protect your recovery codes

Recovery codes may be needed if you lose access to your authenticator app or mobile device. Do not share them or store them in an unsecured location.

Two-factor authentication is optional

CertNudge currently allows users to choose whether to enable authenticator-app two-factor authentication.
