Is there a grace period before my certificates or reminders stop?

Billing & Payments

Yes. A subscription reported as past due currently receives a seven-day CertNudge grace period.

During an eligible grace period, normal application access and reminder eligibility continue while the payment issue is being resolved.

What happens during the grace period?

Application access continues

While the subscription remains eligible for the grace period, the organisation can continue using the application normally.

Reminders remain eligible

Eligible certificate records continue to be considered during the normal reminder checks.

Will Stripe retry the payment?

Stripe may retry a failed subscription payment and may send billing notifications according to the active Stripe configuration.

CertNudge does not publish or guarantee a fixed number of retries, retry timetable or sequence of notification emails.

What happens after seven days?

Access and reminders can stop

If the subscription remains past due outside the grace period, the organisation can be sent to the inactive-account page and reminder eligibility is paused.

This is not a read-only account mode. Access remains restricted until CertNudge receives an eligible subscription status again.

How do I resolve the failed payment?

1

Sign in as the organisation owner

Subscription and billing settings are available only to the organisation owner.

2

Open Manage Subscription

Use the available option to open the Stripe billing portal and review the payment details enabled for the account.

3

Check the subscription status

After updating the available payment details, check whether Stripe reports the subscription as eligible again.

When do reminders resume?

Once subscription eligibility is restored, reminders resume through CertNudge's normal scheduled checks:

04:05 12:05 20:05

These times use Europe/London time. Processing and email-provider delays mean a particular delivery time cannot be guaranteed.
