What exactly is CertNudge and why would I use it?
CertNudge is a record-keeping and reminder platform built for UK landlords.
It helps you organise property compliance records, certificate evidence and renewal dates so they are easier to review, manage and share.
What CertNudge does
CertNudge provides practical tools for recording certificate details, storing supporting evidence, monitoring expiry dates and sharing selected records.
CertNudge does not verify a certificate’s authenticity, provide legal advice or guarantee that a property or landlord is legally compliant.
What can I do with CertNudge?
Organise records by property
Keep certificate details, expiry dates and supporting evidence together for each property in your portfolio.
Review upcoming dates
Use the dashboard to review certificate records based on the expiry dates entered in CertNudge.
Receive email reminders
Eligible certificate records are considered for reminders as their recorded expiry dates approach.
Generate PDF compliance packs
Create an organised PDF summary containing selected property records and supporting evidence.
Create secure share links
Share selected documents or compliance packs using secure, time-limited links that can be revoked when necessary.
Maintain service logs
Record when and how you say evidence was shared or served. Service logs are landlord-entered management records and are not proof of delivery, receipt or reading.
How the reminder schedule works
CertNudge uses the expiry date recorded against each certificate. Eligible records are considered at the following milestones:
- 60 days
Early reminderAn opportunity to review the record and begin planning any renewal work.
- 30 days
Follow-up reminderA further prompt as the recorded expiry date approaches.
- 14 days
Two-week reminderA reminder to check progress and confirm that any required action is being arranged.
- 0–7 days
Final reminder windowOne final reminder may be sent when the record is first selected within the last seven days before expiry.
Reminder emails are a supporting tool. Delivery time and successful email delivery cannot be guaranteed.
Why use CertNudge?
Keeping records in one place can reduce reliance on spreadsheets, email inboxes and memory. It also makes it easier to review upcoming dates and assemble selected evidence when it needs to be shared with a council, insurer, lender, solicitor or another authorised recipient.
Your responsibilities remain unchanged
You remain responsible for checking that the information entered in CertNudge is accurate, understanding the requirements that apply to your properties and arranging inspections, remedial work and renewals when needed. Seek appropriate professional or legal advice where necessary.
