What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?

Security, Privacy & Data Protection

Cancelling your subscription changes your access to CertNudge. It does not automatically delete your organisation or its records.

The subscription workflow shows when cancellation takes effect and how long application access remains available.

Cancellation and account deletion are separate

Cancelling a paid plan stops the subscription according to the effective date shown. It does not itself close the organisation account or erase its properties, certificates and files.

What happens to my access?

Before cancellation takes effect

Your access is governed by the effective date displayed in the subscription-management workflow.

After access becomes inactive

You may no longer be able to use the application normally, and certificate records may no longer be eligible for reminder processing.

What happens to my records?

Cancellation alone does not automatically erase:

  • Property records
  • Certificate details and expiry dates
  • Uploaded certificate evidence
  • Share-link and service-log records

How long is the data retained?

Records remain subject to the retention and deletion arrangements described in the Privacy Policy.

CertNudge does not promise that cancellation triggers automatic deletion after a fixed period or that every historical, audit or backup record is erased immediately.

Before cancelling

  • Check the effective date: Review when access will change before confirming cancellation.
  • Download important evidence: Generate and save any property compliance packs or documents you need to retain.
  • Review upcoming dates: Make alternative arrangements for monitoring renewals if reminders will stop.
  • Tell team members: Let other organisation users know if their access will be affected.

Need help with your account?
