What happens when I delete a certificate - do reminders stop?

Supported Certificate Types & Validity Rules

Deleting a certificate removes it from normal use and cancels pending reminders linked to that record. The supported deletion workflow also attempts to remove its linked uploaded files. Download anything you need to retain before confirming deletion.

Check before deleting

Do not assume that a deleted certificate or file can be restored. Keep your own appropriate copy of any evidence you may need later.

What happens to the certificate record?

Removed from normal use

The certificate is no longer available as an active record for normal certificate management.

Pending reminders are cancelled

Reminder messages still waiting to be processed for that certificate are cancelled.

Dashboard information changes

Removing the active record can affect certificate counts, expiry lists and dashboard indicators.

What happens to the uploaded file?

The supported deletion workflow attempts to remove files linked to the deleted certificate from active storage.

CertNudge does not promise that every live, historical, backup or audit record is erased immediately or within a fixed number of days.

Can any information be retained?

Soft-deleted, historical or audit records may be retained where needed to operate the service, investigate problems or meet legal and security requirements described in the Privacy Policy.

Recovery is not promised

CertNudge does not provide a guaranteed recovery service for deleted certificates or uploaded files. Download important evidence before deleting the record.
