What’s the maximum file size?

The maximum upload size is 5 MB per file - more than enough for all standard certificate types.
Typical File Sizes
- Gas Safety PDFs: ~150–250 KB
- EICR and EPC reports: Usually under 1 MB
- Multi-page scans: Often 2–3 MB max if exported cleanly
What If Your File Is Too Big?
If your file exceeds the 5 MB limit, you'll see an instant red error message — the upload won’t go through. To fix this:
- Use a free PDF compressor like iLovePDF or Adobe Compress PDF
- Choose "medium" or "low" quality — it’s fine for scanned documents
- Retry the upload with the smaller version
