What’s the maximum file size?
The maximum upload size is 5 MB for each individual file.
This limit applies to supported PDF, JPEG/JPG, PNG and HEIC certificate and evidence files.
How the limit works
The 5 MB limit applies separately to every file you upload.
A file larger than 5 MB must be reduced or exported again before CertNudge can accept it.
What should I do if a file is too large?
Check the file
Confirm that you have selected the correct document and that it is larger than 5 MB.
Export or scan it again
Use trusted settings on your computer, scanner or mobile device to create a smaller copy.
Check readability
Make sure names, dates, results and other important information remain clear after reducing the file size.
Upload the smaller file
Confirm that the new file is no larger than 5 MB and retry the upload.
Tips for creating smaller files
- Use a document or standard-quality scan rather than the highest photo resolution.
- Crop unnecessary areas from photographs before saving them.
- Export a document using an appropriate reduced-size or standard-quality setting.
- Check that every required page is still included and readable.
Be careful with third-party services
Avoid uploading certificate evidence to an unfamiliar online compression service. Prefer trusted tools and export settings available on your own device.
Still unable to upload?
